Many dog owners work and can’t be around to spend time with their dog during the day...
Perhaps you have a puppy who you don’t want to leave for too long, or an elderly dog who can't cross his legs as long as when he was younger?
If you don’t need your dog to be walked but have to leave him for longer than you would like during the day, York Walkies can help. We offer a pet visiting service so your dog is not alone all day, and has some time being played with or fussed, or simply having a toilet break.
If you are going out for the day and will be back later than usual, work shifts which mean your dog is left over a feeding time, or have a longer than usual day at work, we can visit your pet and give him his meal and chance to go to the toilet.

York Walkies can visit your puppy during the day while you are at work. We will play with your puppy, do cuddles and ensure that they have chance to go to the toilet. We will clean up any accidents and ensure that they have fresh water and food if needed. If you have a secure garden we can play outside or just spend 15 minutes taking your puppy for a leg stretch before returning him home. This can provide them with a break during the day, and you with the reassurance of knowing that your dog has had opportunity to interact and play and to go to the toilet before you come home. If you are ‘in training’, let us know what you’re practising and we can do some fun training games to reinforce what you are trying to achieve.

Older dogs may not necessarily need to go for a long walk during the day, but might find it hard to manage without chance to go to the toilet. We can take your dog for a brief walk, and give them some company and cuddles before leaving them comfortable and with fresh water, and your home secure. This service is ideal if you have a dog who was used to being left for a few hours before but is now not managing without a toilet break.

Yes we feed cats and other pets too!
If you prefer not to use a cattery or boarding arrangements for your feline friends or other pets while you are away, so they can stay in a familiar environment with as little stress as possible, just get in touch. We can visit and feed, chat with or even read to your pets so they have some time in the day when they’re not alone. This service isn’t available for dogs.
